Roaxaca Zone

Roaxaca Zone is an animated comics did for my final graduation project at the HEAR Strasbourg.
All the drawings were made by hand with pencils during 2015

• Ritleng Price for best graduation project at the HEAR Strasbourg
• 2nd place for Best Digital Comics at the Angoulême International Comics festival

The project was inspired by Le Pique-nique from Les Documents Interdits by Jean-Teddy Phillipe, a collection of fake paranormal documentaries made for french televison in 1989. The collection influenced the mockumentary film genre and famous fictions of the 90’s such asThe Blair Witch Project, or The X-Files.
The two vertical frames layout was inspired by the video games I played on Nintendo DS during my teenagehood.
